So, when I was visiting my family a week or so ago, my mother handed me a stack of books which included this book:

Whatever your copy looks like, be sure to read this haunting and powerful book, it is truly an amazing, heartbreaking--AND QUICK read. Oof, it really shook me and got me thinking, and made me a little more grateful to live in the part of the world / time period that I do.
